Giorgio  DUBOIN

Nato a Genova il 30 settembre 1959 e vive a Torino.

Giorgio, che ha iniziato a giocare a soli 13 anni, è uno dei migliori giocatori italiani in attività.

Alfiere azzurro, World Grand Master ed European Grand Master,  è una delle colonne portanti del nuovo Blue Team, forse la squadra più forte che si sia mai vista.

 Messosi in luce come uno tra i  migliori juniores del mondo, ha conquistato in questa categoria il titolo Europeo a Coppie del 1980, il primo posto nel MEC a squadre del 1979, un argento nell'Europeo nel 1984 e due Campionati italiani a Squadre (1978, 1984).

 Sul piano nazionale ha conquistato 10 titoli nazionali a Squadre (1982, 1987, 1991, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004), 5 Coppe Italia (1983, 1990, 1991, 1997, 1998)

 Passato tra gli open, ha conquistato tre primi posti nel MEC a coppie (1985, 1987, 1996), uno in quello a squadre (1983), è stato anche 7 volte Campione d'Europa  a Squadre (1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008), una volta Campione d'Europa a Squadre Miste (2002), tre volte consecutive Campione Olimpico a Maastricht nel 2000, ad Istanbul nel 2004 e a Pechino nel 2008, ed infine,  Campione del Mondo a Squadre ad Estoril nel 2005, Vice Campione del Mondo nel 2003 e nel 2009 e terzo nel 2011. 

 Tra gli altri successi internazionali si è imposto nella Spingold (2001 e 2002), nel Forbo Teams dove, dopo un paio di piazzamenti, ha centrato la prestigiosa accoppiata sia nel 2001 che nel 2002, poi, il White House del 2002 e del 2006, l'Australian Summer National (2001), la Reisinger (2000, 2010 e 2011), la Vanderbilt (2004), il Politiken World Pairs (2000), la Rosenblum Cup (2002), la Champion Cup (2002, 2003, 2011 e 2012), il Mitchell 2002 e 2011, il Patton Scratch di Biarritz (1996, 2003 e 2011), il Coppie Open di Biarritz (1995, 2003), il Silodor di St. Louis (2007), la NEC Cup del 2010.

L'ultimo titolo guadagnato è stato il bronzo agli Europei Open a Squadre del 2012.

World Grand Master ed European Grand Master occupa il secondo posto nella classifica mondiale edita dalla WBF.

Nel 2008 è stato il primo non americano a ricevere il premio Sydney Lazard, un ambito riconoscimento che premia un giocatore per la sua correttezza.

Passed between the Open, he earned three gold medal in the MEC Pairs Championships (1985, 1987, 1996), one in the MEC Teams Championships (1983), was also 7 times European Champion Team (1997, 1999, 2001, 2002 , 2004, 2006, 2008), once a European Champion Mixed Team (2002), three times Olympic Champion in Maastricht in 2000, in Istanbul in 2004 and Beijing in 2008, and finally, World Team Champion in Estoril in 2005 and Vice World Champion in 2003 and 2009, finally, third in 2011.

He is one of the first in the world ranking published by the WBF and in 2008 was the first non-American to receive the Sydney Lazard award, a coveted award that rewards a player for his correctness.
