Una prima
edizione dei Campionati Europei a
Coppie Juniores si svolse a Cannes nel 1976 con scarso successo di partecipazione in
quanto gli stessi furono snobbati da molti dei giocatori più quotati.
La manifestazione fu ripresa con continuità nel 1991 per iniziativa dell'allora Presidente dello EBL Youth Committee, Panos Gerontopolus e dal 1995 fu inglobata nel corrispondente Campionato del Mondo.
Nel 2008 le due manifestazioni si sono nuovamente separate e, mentre la WBF propone i Campionati Giovanili in occasione dei World Junior Camp, la EBL è tornata ad organizzarli per conto suo contemplando tre diverse Categorie: Open Under 26 e, per la prima volta, Open Under 21 e Femminili Under 26.
Le Coppie in gara devono essere formate da giocatori della stessa Nazionalità.

The event was revived in 1991 by continuity with the then President of the EBL Youth Committee, Panos Gerontopolus 1995 and was incorporated in the same World Championship.
In 2008 the two events were separated again and, while proposing the WBF Youth Championships at the World Junior Camp, the EBL is to organize them on his back contemplating three different categories: Open Under-26 and, for the first time, Open Under 21 Women's Under-26.
The Pairs in the race should be formed by players of the same nationality.
