Frank  MULTON

 Nato a Nizza nel 1964, cominciò a giocare a bridge alla giovane età di 15 anni frequentando un club diverso da quello del padre, per non fargli scoprire che passava il tempo a giocare a bridge anziché a studiare.

 Oggi di quel Club: Le Colonial, è l'animatore.

 Campione Europeo under 25 nel 1988 in Bulgaria, aveva vinto già due anni primi l'argento in quelli di Budapest e ad aveva ottenuto lo stesso piazzamento l'anno prima ai mondiali di Amsterdam.

 Tra i suoi maggiori successi troviamo le Olimpiadi (1996), la Bermuda Bowl ( 1997), il World Trasnational Open Teams (2007 e 2009), l'Europeo Transnazionale a Squadre Miste (2011), la Vanderbilt (2010), il Roberts Teams (2010) e la Spingold Cup (2010).

 Tra i successi in terra di Francia, ricordiamo il Patton a Biarritz nel 1987.

 Frank, che è sposato con Cathérine che nel 1999 è arrivata seconda ai Campionati Europei giocando in coppia con la principessa Nadine, nella classifica mondiale è il primo dei World Grand Master francesi.

Dal 2010 ha preso la cittadinanza a Monaco dove dal 2012 difenderà i colori del Principato nella squadra capitanata da Pierre Zimmermann.

Frank Multon was born in 1964 in Nice, married, one daughter, Laura.

A bridge professional who runs a club in his home town of Nice, "Le Colonial".

Already at the age of 15, he preferred playing bridge over going to school.

As his father was also a player, he had to go to a different club in order to avoid him! As a Junior, he became European Champion as well as Runner-up in the World Championship. Later, he became an Olympic Champion in 1996 and a World Champion in 1997.

His last victories is the European Transnational Mixed Teams (2011) and the Spingold Cup (2011).

Thanks to his wife, Cathérine, he is always very well dressed. She not only is the a Wolrd Women Master, but also a runner-up at the European Pairs.

Frank himself is very much like the Beau Brummel of bridge who radiates a friendly and easy going atmosphere around him.

He loves good food (his favourite restaurant is Charlot the First in Cagnes sur Mer) and has a healthy appetite.

At the table, he is a "killer", this lover of team sports has only one shortcoming, he hates losing.

He moved to Monaco in 2010 and from 2012 he will defend the colours of the Principality in the Zimmermann Teams.
