Antonio  SEMENTA

Antonio Sementa è nato il 28 giugno del 1968 a Salsomaggiore è un World Grand Master che fa parte del giro della formidabile nazionale azzurra e che gioca spesso in coppia con Francesco Angelini. Sposato con Ilaria, hanno un figlio di  nome Matteo e vivono a Parma.

É il figlio di Maurizio Sementa un forte bridgista spezzino purtroppo scomparso prematuramente.

  In ambito nazionale, oltre a numerosi prestigiosi piazzamenti,  ha vinto 5 Coppe Italia (1999, 2001, 2003, 2018, 2023) e 5 Campionati assoluti a Squadre (1999, 2003, 2006, 2018, 2019).

 Sale alla ribalta internazionale nel 1992 vincendo gli Europei a Squadre Juniores di Parigi e tre anni più tardi diviene campione d'Europa a Squadre Open a Villamoura per poi ripetersi nel 2008 a Ostenda.

 Conquista anche il bronzo negli Europei a Coppie di Roma.

 Nel 1998 si aggiudica la Rosenblum Cup, nel 1999 lo IOC Grand Prix, nel 2000 il Campionato Mondiale Individuale di Atene per poi bissare il successo di Villamoura agli europei di Salsomaggiore nel 2002, vince 5  Champions Cup (2004, 2005, 2011, 2012 e 2013) e, nel 2008, anche l'Olimpiade a Squadre.

Campione del Mondo Mondo a Squadre nel 2013 (anche se non ha ricevuto il titolo per non aver partecipato alla finale), Vice Campione nel 2009 e medaglia di bronzo nel 2011, nel 2007 ha vinto il suo primo NABC's conquistando la Vanderbilt Cup ed il suo primo Biarritz vincendo il Coppie Libere appaiato al giovanissimo prodigio Madala.

Ha anche conquistato la NEC Cup e le Reisinger nel 2010, 2011, 2013 e 2019, il Patton Scratch di Biarritz ed il Mitchell ai NABC nel 2011 nonché il bronzo agli Europei Open a Squadre del 2012 e nel 2018 il Trofeo FMB e la medaglia d'argento nel Rosenblum.

Nel 2023 è arrivata la sua prima Spingold ed il bronzo nella Bermuda Bowl.

Amante dello sport in genere ed ex calciatore del Parma, pratica con discreti risultati il golf.

  Antonio Sementa was born on June 28, 1968 in Salsomaggiore and is a World Grand Master who is part of the tour of the formidable national team and who often plays together with Francesco Angelini.

He is the son of Maurizio Sementa, a strong bridge player who unfortunately passed away prematurely.

Married to Ilaria, they have a son named Matteo and live in Parma.

At national level, in addition to numerous prestigious placings, he won 5 Italian Cups (1999, 2001, 2003, 2018, 2023) and 5 absolute Team Championships (1999, 2003, 2006, 2018, 2019).

It rose to international prominence in 1992 by winning the European Juniores in Paris and three years later it became European Open Team Champion in Villamoura and then repeated in 2008 in Ostend.

He also won bronze in the European Pairs Championships in Rome.

In 1998 he won the Rosenblum Cup, in 1999 the IOC Grand Prix, in 2000 the Individual World Championship of Athens to repeat the success of Villamoura to the Europeans of Salsomaggiore in 2002, he won 5 Champions Cup (2004, 2005, 2011, 2012 and 2013) and, in 2008, also the Team Olympics.

World Team World Champion in 2013 (although he did not receive the title for not participating in the final), Vice Champion in 2009 and bronze medalist in 2011, in 2007 he won his first NABC's winning the Vanderbilt Cup and his first Biarritz winning the Free Pairs paired with the very young prodigy Madala.

He also won the NEC Cup and the Reisinger in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2019, the Patton Scratch of Biarritz and the Mitchell at the NABC in 2011 as well as the bronze at the European Open at Teams in 2012 and in 2018 the FMB Trophy and the medal of silver in the Rosenblum.

In 2023 is arrived your first Spingold and the bronze medal in Bermuda Bowl.

A sports lover in general and a former Parma soccer player, he practices golf with reasonable results.
