Michael E. Seamon è nato nel 1960 e vive a Dania Beach in Florida, dove è un noto insegnante di bridge ed un forte giocatore caratterizzato dal far parte di una famiglia di bridgisti di grande successo.
Suo padre William Seamon ha vinto 5 titoli nordamericani ed ha rappresentato gli USA nella Bermuda Bowl del 1957 conquistando l'argento, sua madre Rita Seamon ha vinto il Master Mixed Teams del 1974 in squadra con il marito, la zia Anne Seamon Burnstein ha vinto 10 titoli nordamericani, l'altra zia Edith Kemp Freilich è stata una delle due sole donne che hanno saputo vincere i tre maggiori titoli nordamericani (Reisinger, Vanderbilt, Spingold), la sorella Janice Seamon-Molson ha conquistato un secondo posto nella Venice Cup del 2000 ed ha vinto quella del 2003.
Giocando con partner diversi Michael ha vinto un centinaio di tornei regionali e ha conseguito diverse vittorie e piazzamenti prestigiosi coronati dal primo posto nel Campionato del Mondo a Coppie IMP conquistato a Lille nel 1998 in coppia con Russ Ekeblad e nella medaglia d'argento conquistata nella Rosenblum Cup del 1990.
Grand Life Master della ACBL, ricordiamo anche le sue vittorie nel Cavendish Pairs del 1997, nel Transnational Open Teams di Parigi 1971, in 2 Jacoby Trophy (1992/93), nella Reisinger Cup del 2007, 2010 e 2011, nel Silodor Trophey del 1999 e nel Mitchell del 2011.

His father William Seamon won five U.S. titles and represented the U.S. in the Bermuda Bowl in 1957, winning the silver, his mother Rita Seamon won the Master Mixed Teams in the 1974 team with her husband, his aunt Anne Burnstein Seamon won 10 North American stocks, the other aunt Edith Kemp Freilich, was one of only two women who were able to win the three major North American stocks (Reisinger, Vanderbilt, Spingold), his sister Janice Seamon-Molson won a second place in the Venice Cup in 2000 and won in 2003.
Playing with different partners, Michael has won hundreds of regional tournaments and earned several prestigious wins and placings crowned first place in the World Championship won IMP Pairs in Lille in 1998 teamed with Russ Ekeblad and won a silver medal in the Rosenblum Cup in 1990.
