Janice Seamon è nata nel 1955 a Miami, vive a Hollywood e proviene da una famiglia di grandi bridgisti.
Suo padre Bill Seamon ha vinto 5 titoli nordamericani ed ha rappresentato gli USA nella Bermuda Bowl del 1957 conquistando l'argento, sua madre Rita Seamon (foto a dx) ha vinto il Master Mixed Teams del 1974 in coppia con il marito, la zia Anne Burnstein ha vinto 10 titoli nordamericani, l'altra zia Edith Kemp Frielich è stata una delle due sole donne che hanno saputo vincere i tre maggiori titoli nordamericani (Reisinger, Vanderbilt, Spingold), il fratello Michael, come pure lo era stato il defunto marito Mark Molson, è uno tra i giocatori professionisti più noti negli Stati Uniti.
Laureata in legge e madre di Jennifer, è una World Grand Master che sul piano nazionale ha vinto una decina di titoli NABC e che ha conquistato i suoi maggiori successi a livello internazionale nel nuovo millennio, arrivando seconda nella Venice Cup del 2000, prima in quella del 2003 a Montecarlo, terza all'Olimpiade 2008 di Pechino e conquistando la Mc Connell Cup a Verona nel 2006.
Nel 2011 ha vinto la 1ª edizione dei Worl Mind nella Categoria Women Teams e Women Individuals.
Nel
1996 ha vinto il titolo nazionale a Squadre femminili giocando in Squadra con la
madre e con la zia.
