Venice Cup è uno dei 3 Campionati Mondiali a Squadre per Nazioni che vengono disputati negli anni dispari sotto l'egida della WBF
con il nome il nome di World Team Championship
e che comprende le più importanti competizioni mondiali di Categoria per
Nazioni.
Gli altri due Campionati dello stesso gruppo sono la Bermuda Bowl e la Senior Bowl.
Dal 1974,
anno della sua
istituzione, la Venice Cup rappresenta la supremazia mondiale nel bridge
femminile ed è riservata alle squadre ladies vincitrici delle rispettive
zone geografiche della World Bridge Federation.
