Nato a Genova l'8 giugno del 1950, Andrea Buratti è un World Life Master ed un Senior Master ella WBF che ha vinto tre volte i Campionati Nazionali a Squadre (1987, 1999, 2004).

Dal 2001 ha vissuto a lungo in Spagna dove, oltre ad aver vinto due titoli nazionali a squadre, ha contribuito in maniera determinante a portare per la prima volta la squadra iberica sul podio degli europei (Salsomaggiore 2002).
Prima di trasferirsi in Spagna, Andrea ha anche conquistato 2 Campionati Europei a Squadre consecutivi per i colori azzurri (a Villamoura e a Montecatini) oltre ad una ventina di titoli italiani.
Nel suo palmares sono registrati diversi altri successi internazionali tra i quali ricordiamo: le due vittorie nel Forbo e nel Cavendish Team, tre secondi posti consecutivi nel Cap Gemini , la vittoria del 1998 a Lille nella Rosenblum Cup, quella nel Patton Scratch di Biarritz 2003 e nel Transnational Teams di Montecarlo 2003, il Cavendish Pair's e la Vanderbilt del 2005, i Campionati del MEC a Coppie Libere del 1989, i Campionati del MEC a Squadre Miste (1985), gli Europei Transnazionali a Squadre del 2009, il Mixed BAM agli Europei Open del 2019, l'argento nella Coppa D'Orsi del 2017 e nel Politiken Open Pairs nel 1995.
Sul piano nazionale ha vinto il Campionato a Squadre Juniores (1971), il Campionato a Squadre Open (1992, 1999, 2004), la Coppa Italia (1999, 2001), il Campionato a Coppie Libere (1985, 1996, 1997), il Campionato a Squadre Miste (1984, 1987, 1997), il Campionato a Coppie Miste (1987, 1990, 1994), la Coppa Italia Mista nel 2023.
Nel 2005 Buratti venne coinvolto in "The Tenerife Affair" che gli costò l'espulsione dalla ACBL.
Attualmente Andrea è tornato a vivere a Genova.

On the National level Andrea won the Juniors Teams Championships (1971), the Open Teams Championships (1992,1999, 2004), the Italy Cup (1999, 2001), Open Pairs Championships (1985, 1996, 1997), Mixed Teams Championships (1984, 1987, 1997), Mixed Pairs Championships (1987, 1990, 1994), Italian Mixed Cup (2023).
Silver in the 2017 Senior Bowl and the Politiken World Pairs in 1995.
In 2005 Buratti became involved in "The Tenerife Affair" which cost him expulsion from the ACBL.
Today Andrew live newly in Genoa.
