Famiglia RIMSTEDT

 Ann Rimstedt  è nata nel 1960 e vive ad Haverdal una cittadina costiera non lontana da  Halmstad che si trova a metà strada tra Malmö e Göteborg ed assieme al compagno Magnus Eriksson è nato nel 1963 e anche lui noto bridgista svedese, hanno trasmesso talento e passione ai loro magnifici 4 figli: Sandra, Cecilia, Mikael ed Ola Erkin.

 Ann è detentrice di un primato difficilmente uguagliabile, ha vinto il campionato svedese a coppie femminili sia appaiata alla mamma Berit, sia in coppia con la figlia Sandra!

 Sandra Rimstedt (1987) è una Women World Grand Master che ha giocato spesso in coppia con la sorella Cecilia ed ha rappresentato più volte il suo paese conquistando un argento e due bronzi ai Campionati Europei Giovanili Femminili negli anni 2004, 2005 e 2007.  Passata nella nazionale maggiore, ha subito guadagnato il bronzo agli Europei di Categoria del 2010, nel 2015 ha vinto gli Europei Open a Coppie e lo Sternberg e nel 2017 ha vinto il bronzo nella Venice Cup , l'oro nei 2017 Elite Mind Games giocando in coppia con Cecilia e sempre in coppia con la sorella nel 2022 la Mc Connell Cup.

 Sandra, che è laureata in economia e scienze politiche, è nata a Halmstad, è sposata civilmente con il campione americano Shane Blanchard, vive a New York e ha due figli: Odin e Oliver.

 Sandra fa ora parte della nazionale femminile americana.

 Cecilia Marie Rimstedt, anche lei Women World Grand Master, è nata ad Haverdal, un anno dopo Sandra, ha rappresentato più volte il suo paese e, in coppia con la sorella, ha guadagnato un argento ed un bronzo ai Campionati Europei Giovanili Femminili del 2004 e 2005, lo Sternberg del 2015 e il bronzo nella  Venice Cup.

 Nel 2017 ha vinto l'oro negli Elite Mind Games, nel 2018 l'argento negli Europei Femminili, nel 2019 l'oro nel Coppie Miste agli Europei Open e la Venice Cup e nel 2022 la Mc Connell Cup.

Cecilia, che ha studiato matematica presso l'Università di Goteborg, è sposata e divisa da Patrick Joahnsson (1981) che, nemmeno a dirlo, è stato anche lui un nazionale juniores. Hanno avuto due figli William e Alexander.

Oggi vive negli USA ed è sposata con il campione americano Kevin Dwyer con il quale ha vinto il Mitchell del 2023.

 Mikael Rimstedt ed Ola Rimstedt sono nati, anche loro ad Haverdal,  il 7 agosto del 1995 e sono una coppia di gemelli  entrambi World Life Master che amano, oltre al bridge, il ping pong ed il golf.

 Mikael, si è diplomato al locale ginnasio e vive a Taby poco a nord della capitale, mentre, Ola-Erik ha studiato al ginnasio Kattegatt di Haverdal e oggi vive a Stoccolma.

 In coppia hanno già conquistato una medaglia d'argento ai Campionati Europei a Squadre del 2008 nella Categoria Under 18 (nella foto sotto i gemelli impegnati negli juniores nordici del 2011), una d'oro ai Campionati Europei Giovanili a Squadre del 2013 ed il bronzo in quelli Mondiali del 2015.

 Poi, nel 2014 è arrivato l'oro nel Campionato Mondiale a Squadre Juniores e nel 2015 l'argento negli Europei Under 21 e nei Mondiali a Coppie Juniores.

 Ola ha vinto anche l'oro ai Campionati Europei a Coppie del 2014 ed è stato giocatore dell'anno nel 2023.

 Nel 2016 la consacrazione con l'argento conquistato in coppia agli Europei a Squadre Open seguito nel 2017 dalla vittoria del prestigioso Silodor e dall'oro nei Campionati Europei Under 26.

 Sempre giocando in coppia, nel 2018 vincono i Mondiali Juniores a Squadre e i Mondiali a Coppie, nel 2023 il Mitchell e gli Europei Invernali Transnazionali,  nel 2024 gli European Winter BAM.

 Entrambi sono dei World Life Master ed Ola è stato eletto Giocatore dell'Anno per il 2023.

Ann Rimstedt was born in 1960 and lives in Haverdal a coastal town not far from Halmstad which is located halfway between Malmö and Göteborg and together with her partner Magnus Eriksson was born in 1963 and also a well-known Swedish bridge player, they have transmitted talent and passion to their magnificent 4 children: Sandra, Cecilia, Mikael and Ola Erkin.

Ann is the holder of a record that is difficult to match, she won the Swedish championship in women's pairs both with her mother Berit and with her daughter Sandra!

Sandra Rimstedt (1987) is a Women World Grand Master who often played together with her sister Cecilia and represented her country several times, winning a silver and two bronze medals at the European Women's Youth Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2007.  Passed over to the senior national team, he immediately earned bronze at the 2010 European Championships, in 2015 he won the European Open Pairs and the Sternberg and in 2017 he won the bronze in the Venice Cup, the gold in the 2017 Elite Mind Games playing in pairs with Cecilia and always paired with her sister in 2022 the Mc Connell Cup.

Sandra, who has a degree in economics and political science, was born in Halmstad, is civilly married to the American champion Shane Blanchard, lives in New York and has two sons: Odin and Oliver.
Sandra is now part of the US women's national team.

Cecilia Marie Rimstedt, Cecilia Marie Rimstedt, also a Women World Grand Master.

She has represented her country several times and, together with her sister, has earned a silver and a bronze at the 2004 and 2005 European Youth Women's Championships, the 2015 Sternberg and bronze in the Venice Cup.

In 2017 she won gold in the Elite Mind Games, in 2018 silver in the Women's European Championships, in 2019 gold in the Mixed Pairs at the European Open and the Venice Cup and in 2022 the Mc Connell Cup.

Cecilia, who studied mathematics at the University of Gothenburg, is married and separated from Patrick Joahnsson (1981) who, needless to say, was also a junior national team. They had two sons William and Alexander.

Today she lives in the USA and is married to the American champion Kevin Dwyer with whom she won the 2023 Mitchell.

Mikael Rimstedt and Ola Rimstedt were born, also in Haverdal, on 7 August 1995 and they are a pair of twins, both World Life Masters who love, in addition to bridge, table tennis and golf.

Mikael graduated from the local high school and lives in Taby just north of the capital, while Ola-Erik studied at the Kattegatt high school in Haverdal and now lives in Stockholm.

As a pair they have already won a silver medal at the 2008 European Team Championships in the Under 18 Category (in the photo below the twins engaged in the 2011 Nordic juniors), a gold medal at the 2013 European Youth Team Championships and bronze in the 2015 World Cup.

Then, in 2014 gold came in the World Junior Team Championship and in 2015 silver in the Under 21 European Championships and in the Junior World Pairs Championship.

Ola also won gold at the 2014 European Pairs Championships and has been player of year in 2023.

In 2016 the consecration with the silver won in pairs at the European Open Teams followed in 2017 by the victory of the prestigious Silodor and gold in the Under 26 European Championships.

Always playing in pairs, in 2018 they won the Junior World Team Championships and the World Pairs Championships, in 2023  the Mitchell and 4th European Winter Games, in 2024 the European Winter BAM.

Both are World Life Masters and Ola has been nominated Player of Year for 2023.
