Nato il 21 dicembre del 1944, Tommy Gullberg vive a Hagersten, un quartiere nell'Ovest di Stoccolma con la moglie Madeleine Swanström, anche lei ottima giocatrice e World Women Master capace del quarto posto alle Olimpiadi femminili del 1980.

I Gullberg hanno avuto tre figli di cui il solo Daniel è  bridgista.

 Pensionato, collabora con alcune riviste specializzate svedesi ed è stato uno dei migliori giocatori svedesi negli anni '80 e '90.

 Dopo aver vinto il Campionato Europeo a Squadre Juniores del 1968, i  migliori successi di Tommy sono arrivati quando vinse due volte il bronzo nelle Bermuda Bowl del 1987 e del 1991 e il Campionato d'Europa a Squadre del 1987, conquistando l'argento ed il bronzo negli immediatamente successivi e un altro argento nel 1999.

 Nel 1988 conquistò anche il bronzo Olimpico e l'argento nella Europe Cup, 1994 guadagnò lo stesso metallo nella Rosenblum Cup.

 World Life Master, Tommy è stato anche più volte capitano di un po' tutte le Nazionali del suo Paese vincendo l'argento nei Campionati Europei a Squadre Senior del 2014 e del 2016 e il bronzo nella Senior Bowl del 2017.

Tommy ha vinto anche diversi titoli nazionali e tornei internazionali giocando in coppia con la moglie.

Madeleine Swanström è nata il 25 marzo del 1942 a Stoccolma ed è comproprietaria con Tommy di TG-Bridge.

Ha vinto il Campionato Europeo Open a Coppie Femminili del 1989 ed è stata coach della nazionale Svedese Senior che ha conquistato l'argento nel 2008.

Daniel Gullberg è nato a Stoccolma nel 1986 ed ha studiato presso il KHT, poi alla Kunliga Tekniska, ed infine si è laureato alla Norra Real.

Le prime medaglie internazionali a livello giovanile arrivano nel 2010 con l'oro conquistato negli Europei a Coppie Under 21 e con il bronzo guadagnato nell'Individuale Mondiale.

Nel 2015 è arrivato un altro argento negli Europei a Squadre Juniores e l'oro nei Mondiali Swiss Teams della stessa categoria, nel 2016 il bronzo ai Mondiali Juniores a Squadre.

Nel 2019 è stato l'allenatore della squadra svedese che ha vinto gli Europei Junores.

The Gullbergs have had three children of which Daniel is the bridge player alone.

Retired, Tom collaborates with some Swedish specialist magazines and was one of the best Swedish players in the 80s and 90s.

After winning the 1968 European Junior Team Championship, Tommy's best success came when he twice won the bronze in the 1987 and 1991 Bermuda Bowl and the 1987 European Team Championship, winning silver and bronze in the immediately following and another silver in 1999.

In 1988 he also won the Olympic bronze and silver in the Europe Cup, 1994 earned the same metal in the Rosenblum Cup.

World Life Master, Tommy has also been several times a captain of all the national teams in his country, winning silver in the European Senior Team Championships of 2014 and 2016 and bronze in the 2017 Senior Bowl.

Tommy has also won several national titles and international tournaments playing in tandem with his wife.

Madeleine Swanström was born on 25 March 1942 in Stockholm and is co-owner with Tommy of TG-Bridge.

She won the 1989 European Women's Pairs Open Championship and was coach of the Swedish Senior national team that won silver in 2008.
