Andrei GROMOV

 

 Andrei Gromov che è nato nel 1970 nella ex Unione Sovietica ed è il più forte giocatore russo del momento, vive a Mosca, dove lavora come importante manager aziendale, assieme alla moglie Victoria Gromova che, a sua volta, è forse la miglior giocatrice russa e ai loro due figli.

 Andrei è stato il primo giocatore russo a fregiarsi del titolo di World International Master occupando una delle prime dieci posizioni della speciale classifica gestita dalla WBF e, anche il solo a conquistare quello di European Life Master.

 Andrei, che ha vinto tutto quello che c'era da vincere sul piano nazionale ed è stato eletto più volte giocatore russo dell'anno, su quello europeo ha vinto nel 2000 il bronzo nei Mondiali Individuali di Atene e in quelli Europei a Squadre Miste giocando in coppia con la moglie Victoria Gromova con la quale ha anche vinto l'argento negli Europei a Squadre Miste del 2007 e nel Transnational Olimpico del 2008.

Con il suo compagno abituale Alexander Dubinin è poi arrivato secondo agli Europei a Squadre di Pau.

Sempre in campo internazionale ha vinto il Mitchell Trophy nel 2000, nel 2009 e nel 2010, la Vanderbilt Cup nel 2001, il White House del 2004, la Spingold Cup nel 2008 ed è arrivato secondo nella NEC Cup del 2005 e del 2007 e terzo alle Olimpiadi a squadre di Istanbul e al Transnational Open Teams di Veldhoven.

His wife Victoria Gromova work togheter Andrey and she is perhaps the best player Russian. They have two sons.

Andrei was the first Russian player to claim the title of World International Master occupying one of the top ten of the special list managed by the WBF, and he has also the only European Life Master of Russia.

Andrei, who has won everything there is to win at home and was repeatedly elected Russian player of the year, on the continental plan has won bronze in the Individual World Championships in Athens in 2000 and the European Mixed Teams teamed with his wife Victoria Gromova with whom he also won silver in the European Mixed Team of 2007 and the Transnational Mixed Olympiad 2008.

With his usual partner Alexander Dubinin is then finished second at the European Team Championship of Pau.
