 Josef è nato nel 1963 a Danzica ma è cittadino tedesco e vive ad Amburgo dove è sposato e ha una figlia.

 Si è laureata presso l'Accademia di Educazione Fisica indirizzo Finanziario della sua città ed è stato un giocatore di pallamano.

 Josef ha imparato a giocare a Bridge in famiglia all'età di 12 anni ed è da diversi anni membro della Squadra nazionale tedesca.

 Fondatore e Presidente del Bridge Club di Amburgo, nel suo palmares figurano accanto a diversi titoli nazionali: un oro, un argento ed un bronzo nella Champion Cup (2006, 2009, 2007), un bronzo nel Campionato Europeo a Squadre del 2008, due bronzi nel Transnazionale Mondiale a Squadre (2007, 2009) ed un bronzo nel Mondiale a Coppie del 2010.

 L'ultima sua affermazione si è avuta con la finale disputata nel Transnazionale Europeo a Squadre (2011).

Oltre al bridge ama: la chitarra, lo sci e la pallavolo. 

Josef was born in 1963 in Gdansk, is married and has one daughter.

He graduated from the Academy of Physical Education Finance address of his town and it was a handball player.

Josef has learned to play Bridge in the family at the age of 12 years and for many years a member of the German National Team.

Founder and President of the Bridge Club in Hamburg, where he lives now, on his CV to appear alongside several national titles: one gold, one silver and one bronze in the Champion's Cup (2006, 2009, 2007), a bronze in the European Championship Team (2008), two bronzes in the Transnational World Team (2007, 2009) and a bronze in the World Pairs in 2010.

His last statement has had with the final played in Transnational European Team (2011).

In addition to the bridge loves the guitar, skiing and volleyball.
