Petra  HAMMAN

 Petra Voigt è nata il 2 gennaio del 1946 ad Halle in Germania una cittadina  a metà strada tra Hannover e Dresda, ma, nove anni più tardi, la sua famiglia si trasferì prima ad Amburgo e poi, due anni più tardi, a Grand Rapids nel Michigan.

 È sposata con il grandissimo Bob Hamman, ha due figlie che vivono nei dintorni di Detroit lavorando nell'industria dei cavalli e, oggi, vive a Dallas facendo l'insegnante e la giocatrice di bridge e coltivando l'altra grande sua passione: il tennis.

 Petra ha conseguito il titolo di World Women Life Master della WBF e ha fatto parte della rappresentativa femminile USA che ha vinto le Olimpiadi femminili di Maastricht del 2000 e che ha conseguito il 3° posto nell'ultima Venice Cup di Parigi 2001.

 Nel 2012 ha vinto il Misto per Squadre Transnazionali  alle Olimpiadi di Lille e nel 2015 ha capitanato la Squadra che ha vinto il D'Orsi Trophy, mentre, nel 2016 quella che ha vinto le Olimpiadi Senior.

 Ha vinto anche diversi titoli nazionali, ultimo tra i quali il Grand National Teams del 2006 e l'Open Pairs ai Summer NABC's del 2007.

Nel 2018 ha fatto da cng alla squadra che ha vinto la Rand Cup ed ha guadagnato l'argento nel World Mixed Pairs, nel 2019 ha fatto da cng alla Squadra Senior che ha vinto gli Europei Open.

When Petra Hamman came into the world, it was as Petra Voigt of Halle in what at the time was East Germany. 

Nine years later, the family moved to Hamburg, in West Germany. East German residents were allowed to leave at the time, but only if they took nothing with them. After two years in Hamburg, the family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

Petra has two daughters, both self-employed in the horse industry (riding and training) in the Detroit area. 

Petra teaches bridge in Dallas and, on a daily basis, indulges her other passion - tennis. 

She is wife of the big Bob.

World Woman Life Master, she won the 2000 Women Olympiads and the 2012 World Transnational Mixed and she earned a bronze medal in 2001 Venice Cup. Besides, she has been the npc of Team USA that in 2015 won the Senior Bowls and in 2016 Senior Olympiads.

She won about ten NABC among them we remember the Grand National Teams in 2006 and the Wernher in 2007.

In 2018 she has been npc of winning team of Rand Cup and earned the silver medal in the World Mixed Pairs, in 2019 she has been the npc of Senior Teams winning at the European Open.
