Boye and Tonye BROGELAND

Reidar Boye Brogeland è nato a Moi nel 1973 e si è diplomato in economia presso la Bergen School of Business and Administration ed è un professionista del Bridge e l'editore del bimestrale "Bridge i Norge" una rivista specializzata norvegese del tutto indipendente.

Boye, che ha imparato a giocare a Bridge all'età di 8 anni per merito dei genitori, vive con la moglie Tonje Aasand, che è una maestra elementare e che è anche lei buona bridgista, e con il figlioletto Anders a Flekkefjord, un paesino situato nel sud ovest della costa norvegese non troppo lontano da quello dove è nato

 Boye si è messo in luce vincendo con Geir Helgemo i Campionati del Mondo a Coppie Juniores di Ghent nel 1995 e conquistando la medaglia di bronzo due anni più tardi a Sportilia in Italia in tandem con I. Hantveit. 

 Sempre da Juniores ha poi vinto gli Europei a Squadre di Cardiff nel 1996 ed è arrivato secondo in quelli di Hamilton l'anno successivo.

 Passato nella categoria Open ha conquistato le medaglie di bronzo agli Europei a Squadre Open di Montecatini nel 1997, di Malta nel 1999 e di Varsavia nel 2006, quella d'argento a Tenerife nel 2001, per poi vincere in coppia con la moglie Tonye Aasand gli Europei a Squadre Miste delle Canarie nel 2005 e culminare con l'oro agli Europei a Squadre Open del 2008 a Pau.

 Ha raggiunto l'apice delle sue prestazione con il 3° posto nella Bermuda Bowl di Hammamet nel 1997, seguito dall'argento conquistato in quella di Parigi nel 2001 e culminato con l'oro di Shanghai nel 2007.

Questi risultati lo hanno portato a conquistare il titolo di Norwegian Grand Master e quelli di European e di World Grand Master. 

Reidar Boye Brogeland was born in Moi in 1973 and graduated in economics at the Bergen School of Business and Administration and is a professional Bridge and the publisher of the bimonthly "Bridge the Norge" a Norwegian magazine entirely independent.

Boye, who learned to play Bridge at the age of 8 years thanks to the parents, lives with his wife, Tonje Aasand, which is a primary school teacher and a good bridge player, and their son Anders , in Flekkefjord a village located in the southwest coast of Norway.

Boye was highlighted by winning the World Junior Pairs Championships of Ghent in 1995 and the bronze medal two years later in Italy at Sportilia in tandem with I. Hantveit.

Also from Junior went on to win the European Teams in Cardiff in 1996 and finished second in those of Hamilton the following year.
In the Open category he won the bronze medals at the European Open Team of Montecatini in 1997, Malta in 1999 and Warsaw in 2006, the silver in Tenerife in 2001 and culminating with the gold at the European Open Teams in 2008 in Pau.

He also winning in tandem with his wife's Tonye Aasand the European Mixed Teams in the Canary Islands in 2005.
