Christian Bakke è nato il 21 novembre del 1995 a Bergen da genitori entrambi bridgisti di livello.
É cresciuto con tre fratelli nella città natia dove ha completato gli studi superiori presso la Fana High School e oggi studia matematica e fisica all'università di Bergen, città nella quale si è trasferito.
Christian ha imparato a giocare a casa e pian piano ha trascurato gli altri sport che praticava assieme ai fratelli per dedicarsi sempre più al bridge.
A livello giovanile ha conquistato oltre a diversi titoli nazionali, un argento (2015) ed un bronzo (2017) nel Transnational Swiss Teams, un bronzo nel Damiani Trophy (2014), l'oro negli Europei a Coppie Miste (2018), un argento nel Transnational BAM Teams (2017), un bronzo nel David Pigot (2015).
Nel 2017 ha guadagnato il premio Joan Gerard che la WBF concede al giocatore che mostra il miglior spirito sportivo di ogni campionato e ha vinto il Jacoby del 2019 e la Vanderbilt del 2022 sul circuito americano nonchè il BAM ai Mondiali Giovanili Open. Nel 2021 è arrivata la consacrazione continentale con la vittoria della Champions Cup.
Tor Bakke è nato il 6 novembre del 1948 a Bergen dove ha studiato alla Fana High School, preso una laurea in economia e, dopo aver insegnato nella vicina Langhaugen presso il liceo musicale della città, ora è in pensione.
European Master, ha fatto più volte parte della nazionale norvegese ed ha colto i suoi migliori risultati internazionali con il 4º posto conquistato agli Europei a Squadre del 1981 e nel Coppie Senior agli European Open Championships del 2015.
A livello nazionale Tor ha superato la ventina di titoli vinti come bridgista ma è stato anche uno sportivo di successo in altre discipline vincendo due bronzi ai mondiali di vela ed essendo arbitro e personalità di riferimento del ping pong norvegese.
Il suo multiforme ingegno lo ha portato ad essere anche direttore di coro e campione di danza.
Sposato con Kari, hanno avuto 4 figli.
Kari Bakke è nata il 27 giugno del 1958 a Bergen ed ha studiato anche lei al ginnasio Fana prima di frequentare la Norwegian Teacher Academy di Bergen dove oggi vive con il marito e con il figlio.
Ottima giocatrice, ha rappresentato la Norvegia negli European Open Mixed Teams del 2015.
Christian Bakke was born on November 21st 1995 in Bergen, both parents of high level bridge player.
He grew up with three brothers in his hometown where he completed his high school studies at Fana Gymnasiumand today he studies mathematics and physics at the University of Bergen, the city he has moved to.
Christian has learned to play at home and gradually neglected the other sports he practiced with his brothers to devote himself more and more to bridge.
At a youth level he won over several national titles, a silver (2015) and a bronze (2017) in the Transnational Swiss Teams, a bronze in the Damiani Trophy (2014), a gold in the European Mixed Pairs (2018), a silver in the Transnational BAM Teams (2017), a bronze in the David Pigot (2015).
In 2017 he won the Joan Gerard award that the WBF gives to the player who shows the best sporting spirit of each championship and in 2019 he won the Jacoby and the BAM Open Teams in the World Youth Open Championships, than in 2021 he won the Champion Cup and in 2022 the Vanderbilt Cup.
Tor Bakke was born on 6 November 1970 in Bergen where he studied at Fana High School before take a MBA economy and, after teaching in nearby Langhaugen at the city's music high school, today is on pension.
European Master, he has done several times as part of the Norwegian national team and has achieved his best international results with the 4th place earned at the Teams Europeans of 1981 and in the Senior Pairs at the European Open Championships of 2015.
At national level he earned more than 20 titles but he has been very active in other sports, obtaining excellent results, so two bronze medal in the sailing world championships and in addition he has been table tennis in which he is an International referee. As team-leader medals in Norwegian championships for a family team, together with his 3 eldest sons. For years he has been chairman of Heros sports club.
Also administrative functions in his activities: Leader of the West Region of national table tennis association and many times chairman of the General assemblies of the Norwegian Table Tennis Association.
Other cultural activities include leader and director of Choirs.
In his youth he won the West coast championships in dancing
He has been elected to numerous boards and committees, in business activities as well as in various sports disciplines.
Married to Kari, they have 4 sons.
Kari Bakke was born on June 27, 1958 in Bergen and also studied at the Fana Gymnasium before attending the Norwegian Teacher Academy in Bergen where she now lives with her husband and son.
Excellent player, she represented Norway in the 2015 European Open Mixed Teams.
