Ellen Bakker è nata nel 1958 ed è stata una forte bridgista olandese strappata troppo presto dai tavoli verdi da un destino infausto.
Nella sua breve vita Ellen ebbe il suo periodo d'oro a cavallo tra gli anni '80 e '90.
Fu Campionessa Europea a Coppie Miste nel 1980 e nel 1989 fu medaglia d'argento sia nei Campionati Europei Femminili a Squadre che in quelli Mondiali vincendo pure quelli a Squadre Miste del MEC.
Ellen vinse alche il bronzo nei Campionati Europei a Squadre Miste del 1991.
Scomparve nel 2004 a soli 46 anni.

In his short life Ellen had its heyday at the turn of the 80s and 90s.
She was European Champion in Mixed Pairs in 1980 and in 1989 was silver medalist in both the European Women's Team and in the Venice Cup as well as winning in Mixed Team of EU.
Besides Ellen won the bronze in the European Mixed Team Championships in 1991.
He disappeared in 2004 at the age of 46.
