Piotr  TUSZYNSKI

 

 Piotr è nato il 3 maggio del 1955, si è laureato in ingegneria ferroviaria e vive a Varsavia.

 Piotr ha vinto molti titoli polacchi e ha rappresentato molte volte il suo Paese in tornei internazionali vincendo tra l'altro le Olimpiadi di Seattle nel 1984 giocando con Jacek Romanski e raccogliendo diversi piazzamenti prestigiosi come la medaglia d'argento colta al Campionato Europeo di Montecarlo nel 1980 in coppia con Piotr Gawrys, il Campionato Mondiale a Squadre Miste del 2000, la medaglia di bronzo nella squadra italo/polacca agli europei a squadre open di Mentone 2003 e l'argento in quelli di Tenerife 2005.

 Sempre a Tenerife nel 2005 a conquistato l'oro nel Coppie Open in coppia con il suo partner abituale Kowalski e nel 2013 ha vinto gli European Open Teams.

 Nel 2018 arriva un altro oro ai Campionati Europei per Coppie Senior Nazionali e nel 2022 il bronzo nella Rand Cup.

 Grazie ai suoi ottimi risultati Piotr ha guadagnato il titolo di World Grand Master e figura stabilmente tra  primi 50 nella classifica dei migliori giocatori del mondo edita dalla WBF

Born on the third of May, 1955, in Warsaw where he till live, Piotr studied to be a railway transport engineer.

However he found playing the stock market to be a more profitable way to make a living, especially when combined with bridge.

He enjoys sports, his favorites are tennis, soccer and track and field, especially from the comfort of his armchair.

He learned to play bridge with a group of friends when he was around eight years old and plays with Piotr Grawrys as a junior.

Having taken a silver medal at the European Junior Pairs Championship in 1980, he went on to win Seattle Olympiad in 1984 when he was only 29 years old.

Despite many national and international championship medal: silver at 1997 World Transnational Open Teams in Hammamet. He did not have to wait anything like so long before appearing on the podium again.

A narrows loss of Italy in the quart of final of the 2000 Bermuda Bowl was followed later that year by a classic encounter between the same teams in the final of the Maastricht Olympiad. It resulted in another silver medal for Piotr.

The first of these two result earned Piotr and his partner an invitation to the prestigious Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Invitational Pairs Championship in 2000. Although the playing schedule was a problem for the always-hungry Piotr, who lives to eat every three hours, the combination took third place, a feat they repeated in 2001.

World Grand Master, he won a bronze medal  and a silver medal in the European Teams Championship of the  2003 and 2005 when he won also the gold medal in the European Pairs Championships.

in 2013 he won the European Open Teams. In 2018 he won the European Senior Pairs and in 2022 he earned the bronze medal in Rand Cup.
