Judi Friedenberg è nata nel 1950, si è laureata alla Columbia University e vive a New York con il secondo marito Michael.
Appassionata di Teatro e di Sport, Judi è una delle più importanti giocatrici americane delle ultime decadi ed il suo primo marito John Solodar è stato Campione del Mondo nel 1981.
World Grand Master, ha detenuto il primato in classifica dal 1982 al 1991 ha vinto diversi titoli nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo i tre Whitehead del 1998, 2001 e 2006.
In campo internazionale ha vinto la Venice Cup del 1987 dopo aver preso l'argento in quelle del 1981 e 1985, ha vinto l'oro Olimpico nel 1984 ed il bronzo nel 2008, ha vinto la Mc Connel del 1994 arrivando seconda nel 2002.
Inoltre è stata Campionessa del Mondo a Coppie Femminili nel 1978 ed è arrivata alla seconda piazza nel 1990.

Passionate about theater and Sport, Judi is one of the most important American Bridge players of the last decades and her first husband John Solodar only was World Champion in 1981.
World Women Grand Master, she has took the first ranking since 1982 to 1991 and she has won several national titles among which three Whitehead (1998, 2001 and 2006).
At international level she won the Venice Cup (1987) after taking two silver medals (1981 and 1985) and Olympic gold (1984) follows the bronze 24 years later!
She also won the Mc Connel Cup (1994) and coming second in 2002.
Besides, she was also World Women Pairs (1978) and she arrived at the second place in 1990.
