Joris van Lankveld è nato nel 1989 a Middenbeemster, una cittadina circa 30 Km a nord di Amsterdam città dove ora vive, ha studiato al liceo Jan van Egmond di Purmerend dove ha incontrato la bridgista Merel Bruiijnsteen con cui è impegnato sentimentalmente.
Nonostante la giovane età è già un World International Master che si è messo in luce vincendo ai Campionati Mondiali Giovanili del 2011 l'oro nello Junior Pairs e nello Swiss a Squadre nonché il bronzo nel BAM a Squadre.
Nel 2012 ha vinto il Mondiale Juniores a Squadre e nella stessa competizione ha conquistato l'argento nel 2014.
Nella categoria superiore è arrivato secondo nella Champion Cup del 2015 e negli Europei Open del 2019, inoltre sempre nel 2015, ha vinto il prestigioso Cavendish a Squadre.
Nel 2022 ha conquistato l'argento nella Bermuda Bowl e l'oro agli Europei a Squadre Open.
Joris van Lankveld was born in 1989

bridge player Merel Bruiijnsteen with whom he is sentimentally engaged.
Despite his young age, he is already a World International Master who has won the gold medal in Junior Pairs and in the Swiss Teams at the World Youth Championships in 2011, as well as the bronze in the BAM Teams.
The following year he won the World Junior Teams Championships and finished second in the Champion Cup while in 2015 he won the prestigious Cavendish Teams.
In 2019 he earned silver medal in Open Teams at the European Open.
In 2022 he earned silver medal in
Bermuda Bowl and the gold in the European Open Teams.
