Li Lanqing č nato il 22 maggio del 1932 a Zhenjiang, una cittā sul fiume Azzurro circa 80 Km ad est di Nanchino, ed č stato un preminente uomo politico cinese oggi in pensione, che č stato Vice Premier del Consiglio di Stato tra il 1998 ed il 2003.
Si č laureato presso l'universitā di Fudan mentre lavorava alla First Automobile Works e dopo un inizio di carriera passato nell'industria automobilistica č entrato in politica ricoprendo svariati ed importanti incarichi.
Musicofilo ha scritto un importante libro "Chinese Music 20th century and beyond"

Li Lanqing was born on May 22nd 1932 in Zhenjiang, a city on
the Blue River about 80 km east of Nanjing, and was an important Chinese
politician now retired, who was Deputy Premier of the State Council between 1998
and 2003.
He graduated from Fudan University while working at First Automobile Works and after a career started in the automotive industry he entered politics covering a variety of important positions.
Musicophile, he has written an important book "Chinese Music 20th century and beyond".
Bridge lover, he was able to pronounce the famous phrase "music and bridge
are the only universal languages".
