Gabriella Olivieri è nata ad Alessandria il 10 ottobre del 1952 ed è una World Women Life Master ed un una Italian Grand Master.
Con la nazionale azzurra ha partecipato a quattro Olimpiadi, a tre Mondiali conquistando il bronzo nella Venice Cup del 1987, a dieci Campionati Europei dove si è distinta con un argento nello Squadre Ladies nel 1987 e del 2008, un argento nel Coppie Ladies nel 1997, un bronzo nel Misto a Squadre nel 1992 ed un bronzo nel Misto a Coppie del 2007.
In campo internazionale Caterina ha anche conquistato 6 medaglie nei Campionati del MEC, un oro a Coppie ed un bronzo a Squadre nel 1998, un argento nel Coppe Miste nel 1993, un oro nello Squadre Miste nel 1985, un bronzo a Coppie nel 1979, ed un argento nel 1991 a Squadre.
Poi dopo una lunga pausa, ha agguantato il bronzo agli Europei Transnazionali a Squadre del 2009 e l'oro al Transnazionale Misto del 2012.
In campo nazionale ha riportato numerosi successi di prestigio tra i quali ricordiamo: 7 vittorie nello Squadre Femminili, 6 nella Coppa Italia a Squadre Femminili due nel Coppie Femminili nel 1996 e nel 2010.

With the national team participated in four Olympiads and three World Cup, winning bronze medal in the Venice Cup (1987), she participated also ten European Championships where she was distinguished with two silver medal in the Ladies Team (1987 and 2008), one silver medal in the Women Pairs(1997), one bronze medal in the Mixed Teams (1992) and an other bronze medal in the Mixed Pairs(2007).
In the international arena Catherine also won six medals in the MEC Championships, two gold and one bronze in the Team (1998), one silver in the Mixed Pairs (1993), one gold in the Mixed Team (1985), a bronze in Women Pairs (1979), and finally, one silver in the Women Team (1991).
Then after a long pause, she grabbed the bronze medal at the European Transnational Teams (2009) and the gold at the Transnational Mixed Teams.
On a national level, she has brought many successes of prestige among which: 7 wins in the Women Team, 6 in the Italy Cup and two in the Women Pairs.
