Anton  MAAS

 Nato il 14 ottobre del 1952 a Amstelveen a sud di Amsterdam, manager di banca, World Life Master  tra i primi 50 nella classifica WBF di fine 2000, sposato con la campionessa olandese Bep Vriend, è uno dei migliori giocatori olandesi in attività.

 Anton gioca il Picche Olandese e con esso ha conseguito diversi importanti risultati. 

 Lo ricordiamo secondo ai Campionati del Mondo a Coppie Libere del 1982 e terzo in quelli di Albuquerque nel 1994, secondo nel Forbo International Teams del 2002, secondo nel Forbo Nation Cup del 1999, primo nei Campionati Europei a Squadre Miste del 1994, terzo in quelli del 1992 e ancora primo in quelli a Coppie Miste di Mentone 2003 (sempre in tandem con la fortissima Bep), terzo alle Olimpiadi di Valkenburg nel 1980 e stato anche il coach della  squadra vincente agli Europei Transnazionali a squadre nel 2009 e nel 2015, della Bermuda Bowl 2011 (seguito dall'argento del 2019 come cng) e di quella che ha conquistato il bronzo agli Europei a Squadre Open del 2016 e l'oro alle Olimpiadi.

 Anton ha anche vinto molti titoli nazionali tra cui una decina di volte il Campionato Olandese a Squadre Open ed è un esperto di Go ed un appassionato di Golf.

  Anton Maas  was born in 1952 in Amstelveen and he is a bank manager in his town.

 He won a gold medal in the European Mixed Teams in 1994. 

Other than that, the highest and lowest spot of his bridge career was in 1982.

He and his partner, Max Rebattu, were announced as the winners of the World Pairs. However, shortly afterwards, a scoring error came to light and he was demoted to the silver medal position. 

He has won bronze medals in the 1980 Teams Olympiad, the 1992 European Mixed Teams and the 1994 Olympiad Pairs. 

He is married to Bep Vriend, the most successful Dutch woman player of all time.

He is also the coach of Dutch team winning the European Transnational Teams of 2009 and 2015, the Bermuda Bowl 2011 (in add on silver in 2019 how npc), the bronze medal at 2016 European Open Teams and the gold medal in the Olympiad.

He is still an expert of Go and a Golf lovers.
