Patrick  GRENTHE

 

 Patrick Grenthe è nato nel 1949 a Issy-les-Moulineaux nell'hinterland parigino, ma ha studiato al Liceo Commerciale di Dunkerque nel nord della Francia dove ha conosciuto il bridge casualmente quando aveva 15 anni, perchè al caffé Centrale della sua città si cercava un quarto per chiudere il tavolo.

 Impiegatosi come ispettore alle vendite presso la Choky Tropico di Lille,  in 17 anni  scala pian piano tutte le posizioni fino a diventarne il Direttore Generale. Si pensiona nel 2009.

 Nel 1975 aveva vinto l'argento ai Campionati del MEC Juniores a Squadre, nel 1976 si sposa con Dominique Rilliard con la quale ha tre figli: Guillame, Jerome e Aurelie e i primi due diverranno giovani promettenti bridgisti.

 Enologo dilettante, mentre costruisce la sua vita professionale e familiare non tralascia il bridge, dal 1982 al 1991 è Presidente del bridge club della città dove vive e lavora, dal 1991 al 1998 e dal 2006 al 2010 è Presidente del Comitato delle Fiandre. Infine, alla fine del 2010 diviene Presidente della Federazione Francese.

 Come giocatore, Patrick non è da meno, vince un certo numero di titoli nazionali e sul piano internazionale si afferma nella Categoria seniores quando i suoi impegni extra bridge si diradano.  Vince il Campionato Transnazionale Europeo a Coppie Seniores  nel 2007 in Turchia, seguendo con l'argento nel  2009 in Italia. Nello Squadre vince un argento (2009) ed un oro  (2011).

Nel 2001 guida la nazionale femminile transalpina alla conquista dell'argento nella Venice Cup e vince il Transnazionale Europeo Seniores.

Grenth Patrick was born in 1949 in Issy-les-Moulineaux around Paris, but he studied at the Business School of Dunkirk in northern France where he met by chance when the bridge was 15 years old, because the coffee of its central city is looking for a quarter to close the table.

Working as an inspector at the sales Choky Tropic of Lille, in 17 years scale slowly until all the positions to become the CEO. He retired in 2009.

In 1975 he had won the silver medal in MEC Juniors Teams, and  in 1976 he married with Dominique Rilliard with whom he has three sons: Guillaume, Jerome and Aurelia and the first two become promising young bridge players.

While building his professional and family life does not leave the bridge, from 1982 to 1991 was President of bridge clubs in the city where he lives and works, from 1991 to 1998 and from 2006 to 2010 has been Chairman of the Committee of Flanders. Finally, in late 2010 became President of the French Federation.

As a player, Patrick is no exception, winning a number of national titles and international level stated in the senior category when the bridge extra thin out its commitments. He won the European Pairs  Championship in Turkey (2007), along with silver in 2009 in Italy. In the same championships she won a silver and a bronze in the Team competitions.

In 2001, leads the women's national team to winning the silver in the Venice Cup and won the European Transnational Teams.
