Magdaléna Tichá è nata nel 1991 ad Havĩrov una città della Cekia di oltre 80.000 abitanti sorta nel 1955 e situata una ventina di Km a sud est di Ostrava.
Ha iniziato a giocare a Bridge a 11 anni quando la sua scuola secondaria lo includeva tra le materie formative dedicate al tempo libero e per i primi due anni Magdaléna ha giocato con la sorella Katerina, due anni più grande di lei.
Si è diplomata al Ginnasio di Havĩrov e nel 2010 si è trasferita a Groninga, la principale città dell'Olanda del Nord, dove vive con il suo compagno Richard Ritmeijer, anche lui ottimo bridgista, e dove studia Diritto Internazionale presso la Facoltà di legge dell'Università di Groninga.
Magdaléna, che parla ceko, inglese e francese, si è messa in luce vincendo ai Mondiali del 2009 il Consolation Junior Pairs a cui ha fatto seguire nel 2010 l'argento agli Europei Under 26 a Coppie Femminili giocando in coppia con la sorella Katerina.
Passata sotto i colori della Federazione Olandese è entrata a far parte della nazionale femminile e ha vinto la medaglia di bronzo agli Europei Transnazionali a Coppie Miste giocando in coppia con Richard.
Magdaléna suona la chitarra ed ama e pratica tutti gli sport della racchetta e per il suo futuro conta di poter migliorare le sue capacità bridgistiche portando avanti di pari passo una carriera professionale in ambiente legale.

She started attending secondary school where the bridge was taught in free time and first 5 years she used to play with her 2 years older sister. Last year after high school graduation she moved to Groningen (Netherlands) to live there with her Dutch boyfriend Richard Ritmeijer and since September 2010 she has been studying International and European law at the University of Groningen.
Magdalena, who speaks Czech, English and French, was highlighted by winning the World Junior Pairs Consolation of 2009 which was followed in 2010, the silver medal at the European Under-26 Women's Pairs playing in tandem with her sister Katerina.
Passed under the colors of the Dutch Federation, she won the bronze medal at the European Transnational Mixed Pairs playing in tandem with Richard.
Magdaléna play guitar and she like playing all kind of sports, especially the racket ones (table tennis, tennis, badminton, squash),
She just want to keep improving her bridge skills next to working (hopefully) in legal environment.
