Nato nel 1927 a Torino, cittā natale di molti famosi bridgisti italiani, professore di ingegneria meccanica e per questo amichevolmente chiamato il "Professore" da tutti i giocatori nostrani, č stato uno dei grandi campioni che hanno raccolto l'ereditā del favoloso Vecchio Blue Team.
Prima di scomparire nel 1996, stesso infausto anno che ci privō della compagnia del grandissimo Giorgio Belladonna suo incomparabile compagno di tante battaglie, ebbe modo di vincere due titoli mondiali ed uno europeo, oltre ad innumerevoli tornei internazionali.
Sul piano nazionale ha vinto tra l'altro 3 volte la Coppa Italia (1977, 1983, 1985) e 6 volte i Campionati Italiani a Squadre (1971, 72, 76, 77, 78, 88).

At the national level, he has won the Italian Cup three times (1977, 1983 e 1985) and 6 times the Italian Championship Team (1971, 72, 76, 77, 78 e 88).
