Sylvia  MOSS

 Sylvia F. Moss è nata  il 17 febbraio del 1943 a Garden City una cittadina circa 50 Km ad est di New York e si è laureata presso la locale Adelphi University e dopo aver lavorato in numerose aziende è diventata un'affermata dirigente della banca d'affari Blackstone dalla quale si è pensionata nel 2012 andando a vivere in Florida.

 Non si sa come, ma Sylvia ha anche trovato il tempo per diventare un'affermata bridgista, World Women International Master e vincitrice del bronzo Olimpico a Squadre Femminili nel 2008 a Pechino.

 Sylvia, che ha imparato a giocare in famiglia all'età di 16 anni, fa parte di una famiglia di bridgisti di gran fama, suo fratello Mike anch'esso World International Master, ha sposato la pluricampionessa del mondo Gail Greenberg.

 Sylvia che amava ripetere che giocare a bridge aumentava le sue capacità professionali e che le sue esperienze lavorative miglioravano il suo bridge, ha vinto 10 NABC's tra cui ricordiamo i Whiteheads del 2001 e del 2006 e gli Sternberg del 1998 e 2012.  

Dal 2009 al 2014 è anche stata Vice Presidente della USBF.

Dopo una lunga battaglia con il cancro è scomparsa il 13 settembre del 2022.

Sylvia F. Moss was born on February 17, 1943 in Garden City, a town about 50 km east of New York and graduated from the local Adelphi University and after working in numerous companies she became an established manager of the bank d ' Blackstone business from which she retired in 2012 by going to live in Florida.

It is not known how, but Sylvia has also found time to become an established bridge player, World Women International Master and Olympic bronze medal winner for Women's Teams in 2008 in Beijing.

Sylvia, who learned to play in the family at the age of 16, is part of a family of renowned bridge players, her brother Mike also World International Master, married multiple world champion Gail Greenberg.

Sylvia who loved to repeat that playing bridge increased her professional skills and that her work experiences improved her bridge, won 10 NABC's including the Whiteheads of 2001 and 2006 and the Sternbergs of 1998 and 2012.

From 2009 to 2014 she was also Vice President of the USBF.

After a long battle with cancer, she passed away on September 13, 2022.
