Anthony  FORRESTER

 Nato a Herefordshire nel 1953, ragioniere, WBF World Master, è uno dei migliori giocatori inglesi in attività.

 Tony si è messo in luce vincendo gli Europei a Squadre Juniores del 1978 ed ha poi conseguito una serie di importanti risultati, tra questi ricordiamo: il secondo posto nella Bermuda Bowl del 1987 a  Ocho Rios, il secondo posto agli Europei di Brighton nel 1987 ed il primo in quelli di Killarney nel 1991, diversi piazzamenti nel Cap Gemini in coppia con Andrew Robson, il Mitchell di Boston nel 1999, due Reisingers consecutive ad Orlando nel 1998 e a Boston nel 1999, il Sunday Times del 1990.

 In patria Tony, che ha vinto diversi titoli tra cui 6 Gold Cup, è anche un articolista del London Daily Telegraph e un collaboratore di diverse riviste specializzate.

 Tony Forrester is an English bridge player and writer. He is a British and English international and a World International Master. Forrester is the bridge columnist for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.

Forrester won the European Youth Team Championship in 1978 and the European Team Championship in 1991. The European Team Championship win was in partnership with Andrew Robson, with whom he played for seven years. 

The pair also won the Cap Gemini and the Sunday Times-Macallan. Around that time he was regarded, by the English Bridge Union, as England's number one player.

With 38 caps for England in the Camrose Trophy, Forrester is second only to the late John Armstrong. with 40

Forrester has won the Gold Cup, the premier British teams competition, 10 times in 1983, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993, 2000, 2001, 2007 and 2009.

He won the Spring Foursomes in 1983, 1996, 1999 and 2009.

In 2010, he won the Brighton Four Stars A Final, with team mates Alexander Allfrey, Andrew Robson and Peter Crouch.
