Michael Cappelletti è nato nel 1942 ad Alexandria ed è un autorità riconosciuta nel campo del Poker sportivo per il quale ha pubblicato diverso titoli di successo.

Per 25 anni avvocato presso il Dipartimento di Giustizia è un bridgista di discreto successo, autore dell'omonima convenzione licitativa, Michael ha giocato spesso e con successo con la moglie Kathie (Mount Vernon - 1943) che gli ha dato due figli: Juliet (1963) e Mike junior anche lui noto bridgista professionista.

Grand Life Master ACBL alla giovane età di 33 anni ha vinto alcuni titoli tra i quali ricordiamo il Master Mixed Teams del 1967 e la medaglia di bronzo nel World Mixed Teams nel 1974, entrambi in coppia con la moglie Kathie.

Michael ha anche pubblicato alcuni libri tra cui uno molto particolare dal titolo "100 Bridge Problem": using Poker Tactics in Contract Bridge".

Mike Cappelletti junior è nato nel 1965 ad Alexandria in Virginia ed ha studiato alla Fort Hunt High School di Alexandria ed alla University of Tennessee di Knocxville dove si è laureato nel 1982. Vive a Orlando in Florida assieme ad Allison Howard dopo essersi allontanato dalla moglie Shannon Lipscomb, anche lei valente bridgista.

All'età di 13 anni ha partecipato con la mamma Kathie al Campionato del Mondo a Coppie classificandosi in 15ª posizione!

Mike, che ha vinto il suo primo titolo regionale alla giovanissima età di 14 anni ed ha poi vinto alcuni titoli nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo nel 2000 a Cincinnati sia il Jacoby che il Silodor, è stato anche il coach della Nazionale Giovanile statunitense.

A. Michael (Mike) Cappelletti (born 1942) is an American bridge player and poker authority.

Amongst poker players he is known as the author of the books Cappelletti on Omaha, The Best of Cappelletti on Omaha, Poker at the Millennium and How to Win at Omaha High-Low Poker, and also as columnist for the poker magazine, CardPlayer.

He is well known amongst bridge players as the inventor of the Cappelletti convention.

Cappelletti is an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Grand Life Master with more than 20,000 masterpoints. He has won a bronze medal in the 1974 World Mixed Teams.

Cappelletti also authored the book 100 Bridge Problems: Using Poker Tactics in Contract Bridge.

Mike Cappelletti junior was born in 1965 in Alexandria VA. He studied at the Fort Hunt High School of Alexandria and at University of Tennessee of Knocxville Tennessee where is graduated in 1982. He is married to Shannon Lipscomb, also a talented bridge player.

At age 13 he participated with his mother Kathie World Championship Pairs and finished in 15 th position!

Mike, who won his first regional title at the young age of 14 years and has since won several national titles among which is the Cincinnati in 2000 to the Silodor Jacoby, was also the coach of the U.S. National Youth.
