Jo  MORSE

 Josephine "Jo" Gould Morse è nata il 22 dicembre del 1932 a Brookline nel Massachusetts  ma ha vissuto a Silver Spring nel Maryland frequentando la McKinley Technological High School e l'Università del Maryland.

 Jo che ha avuto una figlia, Tracey, ha vissuto a lungo anche a Palm Beach.

 Tra le migliori giocatrici dell'ultimo quarto del secolo scorso, ha vinto una decina di NABC tra i quali ricordiamo il Whitehead del 1983 e lo Sternberg del 1990.

 Nel 1993 e nel 2000 ha guidato la Nazionale Femminile USA sul podio della Venice Cup (oro e argento).

 Come giocatrice nel 1994 ha conquistato il bronzo nella McConnell Cup, nel 1974 ha vinto il Transnational Mixed Teams e nel 2010 ha guadagnato l'ultima medaglia vincendo il bronzo nel Transactional Mixed Swiss Teams.

Jo è scomparsa il 21 maggio del 2025 in quel di Boise.

  Josephine "Jo" Gould Morse was born on December 22, 1932, in Brookline, but she lived in Silver Spring, Maryland, attending McKinley Technological High School and the University of Maryland.

Jo, who had a daughter, Tracey, and lived also in Palm Beach for a long time.

Among the best players of the last quarter of the last century, she won a dozen NABC titles, including the 1983 Whitehead and 1990 Sternberg Championships.

In 1993 and 2000, she led the US Women's National Team to the Venice Cup podium (gold and silver).

As a player, she won bronze in the 1994 McConnell Cup, in 1974 she won the Transnational Mixed Teams, and in 2010 she earned her final medal, winning bronze in the Transactional Mixed Swiss Teams.
