Allan Livgaard è nato nel 1983 ad Askim, una città una cinquantina di Km a sud della capitale, dove ha compiuto gli studi superiori alla scuola superiore Videregående.
Si è laureato all'università norvegese di scienza e tecnologia e vive tuttora ad Askim.
Ha imparato il bridge da adolescente e da una ventina di anni fa parte delle nazionali norvegesi.
Assieme ad alcuni titoli nazionali, ha vinto un bronzo nel 2002 agli Europei Youngsters a Squadre ed un altro nella stessa categoria nel 2004 al primo World Schools Teams Championships.
Passato tra gli juniores ha vinto un altro bronzo nel 2008 nei primi World Games.
Nella categoria superiore ha conquistato l'argento nella Champions Cup del 2016 e nel 2018 ha vinto i Campionati Europei a Squadre e ha guadagnato il bronzo nelle Bermuda Bowl del 2019 e del 2022.
Ha anche guidato come in alcune occasione le nazionali norvegesi femminili e senior.
Allan Livgård was born in 1983 in Askim, a city about fifty kilometers a south
of the capital, where he completed his high studies at Videregående school.
He graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and still lives in Askim.
He learned bridge as a teenager and twenty years ago he joined the Norwegian national team.
Together with some national titles, he won a bronze in 2002 at the European Team Youngsters and another in the same category in 2004 at the first World Schools Teams Championships.
He passed between the juniors and won another bronze in 2008 in the first World Games.
In the open category he won the silver in the 2016 Champions Cup, the European Teams Championships of 2018 and the bronze medal in the Bermuda Bowl 2019 and 2022.
He also led, as on some occasions, the Norwegian female and senior nationals.
