Questa incredibile smazzata è capitata ai Fall NABC's del 2012 e ben difficilmente avrà una replica.

Si è verificata durante  un Torneo Board - A - Match dove battere l'altro tavolo di 10 o 1000 punti è la stessa cosa perché si guadagna sempre lo stesso punto in più.

Il giovane campione italo - argentino più che comprensibilmente non seppe resistere al contro e la licita terminò così.

Quando il giocante mantenne il suo grande slam contrato e incamerò la bellezza di 1770 punti si sentì certo di aver stravinto la smazzata.

Il piccolo slam surcontrato e mantenuto con una surélevée, fruttò alla squadra di Bocchi e Madala 1820 e la vittoria del board!

Questa incredibile smazzata con i suoi tre vuoti e con i suoi ottimi fit con 19 atout consente 19½ prese (13 a picche per NS e 6½ a quadri per EO, visto che 7 prese si possono fare solo se  a giocarle è Ovest).

In a board-a-match event, your team’s only job is to outscore the opponents on each deal. Whether your net plus is 10 or 1000, you receive only one point for that board.

Once in every few blue moons, though, when you hear the two results, it isn’t clear which team has gained the point.

Agustin Madala felt confident in doubling 7♠, but was disillusioned. With the ♣Q in the slot, declarer brought home all 13 tricks.

When Piotr Gawrys in North did not cue bid 4♦, Sam Lev used a “psychic” Roman Key Card Blackwood to “hide” his void before jumping to 6♠.

East unwisely doubled, and Lev redoubled. West led a low heart, the 10 bringing out East’s ace. Again, basically whatever Lev did was going to work and he gained an overtrick.

So, which scores higher, 7♠ doubled and made or 6♠ redoubled and made with an overtrick?

Surely you have those scores  on the tips of your tongues!

Well, 7♠ doubled and made is 1770; 6♠ redoubled with an overtrick is 1820 – Lev had his teammates covered!
