Nata il 20 ottobre del 1958 a Catania ed è una World International Master, ed un una Italian Grand Master che è sposata con l'altro noto campione azzurro Dario Attanasio.
Con la nazionale azzurra ha partecipato a diversi Campionati avendo particolare fortuna in territorio francese dove ha riportato la medaglia di bronzo del Campionato Femminili a Squadre per Nazioni nel 1993 per poi, dieci anni più tardi, salire due volte sul podio conquistando il massimo alloro sempre nello Squadre Femminili nei Campionati Open, e la terza posizione nel Coppie Miste, giocando in tandem con il marito.
In campo internazionale Gabriella ha anche vinto il Campionato a Coppie miste del MEC nel 1985, e nella stessa competizione, la seconda piazza nello Squadre Femminili nel 1993 e del 2008 e la terza in quello del 1998, infine, ha conquistato la terza piazza gli Europei Transnazionali a squadre del 2009 e del 2013, nella Wuhan Cup e negli Europei Misti del 2022.
In campo nazionale ha riportato numerosi successi di prestigio tra i quali ricordiamo le vittorie nella Coppa Italia Femminile (nel 2000, 2001, 2004, 2012), nello Squadre Miste (nel 1986, 1998, 2014, 2022), nel Coppie Miste nel 1998 e 2023, nel Campionato Femminile a Squadre (1996, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2017) e in quello a Coppie (2021).

With the national team has participated in several championships with particular luck in France, where he reported the bronze medal in the Ladies Team Championship for Nations in 1993 and then, ten years later, climb on the podium twice, winning the most ever in the bay Ladies Open Team Championships, and third place in the Mixed Pairs, playing in tandem with her husband.
At international arena, Gabriella also won the EC Mixed Pairs Championships in 1985, and in the same competition, second place teams in the Ladies in 1993 and 2008 and third in the 1998, finally won the third place Europeans Transnational Teams in 2009 and 2013 and in 2022 newly bronze in Wuhan Cup and in the European Mixed Teams.
On a national level has brought many successes of prestige among which the Italian Cup victories in the ladies (in 2000, 2001, 2004 e 2012), in Mixed Teams (1986, 1998, 2014, 2022), in the Mixed Pairs in 1998 and 2023, a Women Teams Championships (1996, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2017) and a Women Pairs Championships (2021).
