Sten è nato a Copenaghen nel 1975, si è diplomato presso il ginnasio Østre Borgerdyd e si laureato in Business Administration Matematica alla Copenhagen Business School.
Lavora come Business Analyst presso la SimCorp A/S un azienda di sviluppo software per istituzioni finanziarie.
Gregers si è messo in luce vincendo i Campionati Universitari Europei a Squadre nel 1998 e bissando con quelli Mondiali dove ha conquistato un bronzo nel 2000 e l'oro nel 2002.
Come Juniores ha vinto due bronzi consecutivi ai Mondiali a Squadre del 1999 e del 2001.
