Adam  WILDAVSKY

 

 Adam Wildavsky è nato il 24 marzo del 1960  in Ohio ma è cresciuto prima a Berkley ed Oakland in California, ed è uno dei laureati del prestigioso Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

 Scapolo, ha vissuto a Jackson Heights vicino Manhattan con la bridgista Ann Raymond ed ha lavorato come free-land informatico nella Google Inc.

 É stato proprietario della Tameware LLC, una compagnia di consulenza informatica specializzata in programmazione estrema ed oggi è un collaboratore della Freelance Capitalist.

 Ha vissuto a Zurigo in Svizzera, a Sarasota in Florida, a Keystone nel Colorado.

 Adam ha imparato il bridge alle scuole superiori che ha frequentato in California ma non ha iniziato a giocare a livello agonistico finché non si è iscritto al MIT.

 Tra le sue vittorie spiccano due Blue Ribbon Pairs (1992, 97) e la Reisinger Cup del 2002 più una cinquantina di Campionati regionali americani.

 World International Master, ha colto il suo più importante risultato con la conquista del bronzo nella Bermuda Bowl del 2003.

Come teorico Adam ha collaborato con il grande Kaplan alla stesura di una nuova versione del famosissimo Kaplan-Sheinwold System impegnandosi a completarlo dopo la di lui scomparsa, avvenuta nel 1997.

Come articolista collabora regolarmente per Bridge Today, Bridge World e per l'ACBL Bridge Bulletin.

Come amministratore ha ricoperto varie cariche nella New England Bridge Association, nella Greater New York Bridge Association,  nella ACBL, nella USBF e nella WBF della quale è divenuto Segretario Onorario.

Adam Wildavsky, Adam Wildavsky was born on March 24, 1960 in Ohio but grew up first in Berkley and Oakland in California, and is a graduate of the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Bachelor, he lived in Jackson Heights near Manhattan with the bridge player Ann Raymond and worked as a free-land computer scientist at Google Inc.

He was the owner of Tameware LLC, an IT consulting firm specializing in extreme programming and is now a collaborator of the Freelance Capitalist.

He lived in Zurich in Switzerland, in Sarasota in Florida, in Keystone in Colorado.

Adam learned bridge in high school which he attended in California but didn't start playing at a competitive level until he enrolled at MIT.

His victories include two Blue Ribbon Pairs (1992, 97) and the Reisinger Cup in 2002 plus about fifty American regional championships.

World International Master, he achieved his most important result with the bronze conquest in the Bermuda Bowl in 2003.

As a theorist Adam collaborated with the great Kaplan on the drafting of a new version of the very famous Kaplan-Sheinwold System, undertaking to complete it after his death in 1997.

As a columnist he regularly collaborates for Bridge Today, Bridge World and the ACBL Bridge Bulletin.

As amnistrator he was elected as a member of the Executive Council in 2019 and chairs the WBF Rules and Regulations Committee. He also serves on the WBF Management Committee, the WBF Technology Committee, the WBF Statutes and Bylaws Committee, the USBF Conditions of Contest Committee, and the ACBL Laws Commission. In 2022 he was unanimously elected to the position of Honorary Secretary of the WBF by the WBF Executive Council. .
