Leif Erik Stabell è nato il 4 febbraio del 1954 a Oslo, ha studiato presso la Hartving Nissen e si laureato nel 1981 all'Università di Oslo.
Leif-Erik ha iniziato giocare a bridge quando aveva 14 anni assieme al gemello Tolle ed è entrato presto a far parte del giro delle nazionali giovanili norvegesi.
Consulente freelance, ha girato il mondo per lavoro e ha finito per stabilirsi ad Harare la capitale dello Zimbabwe, ha però una casa anche in Joannesburg dove vive e studia la figlia Lily e passa in Sud Africa buona parte del suo tempo.
Il suo miglior risultato sportivo è costituito dal bronzo guadagnato alle Olimpiadi del 1980.
Tolle Stabell è nato il 4 agosto del 1954 e vive a Oslo dove esercita la professione di legale.
In gioventù ha fatto parte della Nazionale Giovanile Norvegese giocando in coppia con il fratello (1978) e due anni più tardi ha guidato all'oro da capitano non giocatore la stessa squadra agli Europei.

Freelance consultant, has traveled the world for work and ended up settling in the Harare capital of Zimbabwe, however, he has a house in Johannesburg where his daughter lives and studies and spends much of his time in South Africa.
His best sport result is the bronze won at the 1980 Olympics
Tolle was born August 4, 1954 and lives in Oslo where he practices as a lawyer.
In his youth he was a member of the Norwegian Youth National playing with his brother in 1978 and two years later led to gold how non-playing captain the same Team at the European Championships.
