Elinor Murdoch nacque il 30 ottobre del 1901 e negli anni '30 dello scorso secolo fu considerata la più forte bridgista del mondo.
Assieme a numerosi altri trofei la Murdoch che viveva a New York, vinse il Whitehead nel 1931, il Mixed Bam del 1933, la Marcus Cup del 1946 e, prima donna di tutti i tempi, il Master Individual del 1934, dopo che l'anno precedente era arrivata alla piazza d'onore.
Elinor scomparve il 1 novembre del 1986 a Birmingham nell'Alabama.
Elinor Murdoch was born on October 30th 1901 and in the 30s of last
century she was considered the strongest bridge player in the world.
Along with countless other trophies the Murdoch who lived in New York, won the Whitehead in 1931, the Mixed Bam 1933, the Marcus Cup of 1946 and the first woman of all time, the Individual Master of 1934, after the previous year she had come to the place of honor.
Elinor disappeared Nov. 1, 1986 in Birmingham, Alabama.
