Nicolas è nato nel 1968 a Montreal, dove e vive e fa il Direttore Marketing per un affermato network televisivo dopo aver studiato fisica presso il Politecnico di Montreal ed aver preso un master in Scienza dell'Atmosfera all'Università di Quebec.
Nicolas, che ha cominciato a giocare a bridge quando aveva 7 anni, è un World International Master ha vinto più volte i Campionati Nazionali e ha rappresentato diverse volte il suo Paese.
Tra le sue affermazioni internazionali, ricordiamo la piazza d'onore nella NEC Cup del 2002 e, tra le altre, le vittorie nel Wehrner del 2009 e nel Silodor del 2010.
Per un certo periodo di tempo ha giocato in coppia con Bill Gates.
Nicolas L'Écuyer (né 1968) est ingénieur physique diplômé de l'École
Polytechnique de Montréal.
Il a également suivi une formation en sciences de l'atmosphère niveau maîtrise à l'UQAM. En 1993, il a débuté sa carrière comme météorologue chez Météo Média.
Puis, au fil de 6 années de météorologie, il s'initia peu à peu au monde des ventes et du marketing et réorienta sa carrière comme représentant des ventes publicitaires, toujours chez Météo Média, à la fin de 1998.
Il occupa ce poste avec succès jusqu'en octobre 2005 où il s'est joint à l'équipe de Giverny Capital comme Directeur Marketing.
Nicolas L'Écuyer est aussi un grand joueur de bridge. Il a été champion canadien en 2000, en 2003, en 2008 et en 2009. Il représente régulièrement le Canada en compétition internationale.
