Franco Di Stefano è nato a Messina nel 1942 ed occupa una delle prime 40 posizioni nella classifica degli Italian Grand Master.
È un giornalista che in passato ha collaborato con la nota rivista "Stop" ed è un acclamato insegnante di bridge che ha fondato a Milano una rinomata Scuola.
Come giocatore ha colto la sua maggior affermazione vincendo gli Europei a Squadre del 1975 in Inghilterra, ma ha anche vinto i Campionati Misti del M.E.C. per tre volte (1977, 1979, 1981).
Sul piano nazionale tra i molti successi ricordiamo il Campionato Italiano a Squadre del 1986 difendendo i colori meneghini.

He is a journalist who formerly worked with the renowned magazine "Stop" and is an acclaimed teacher of bridge who founded a famous school in Milan.
As a player, took his greatest success by winning the European Team in 1975 in England, but also won the mixed sample of MEC three times (1977, 1979, 1981).
At the national level among the many titles are included the Italian Championship Team of 1986 that he won for the colors of Milan.
