Per Ola Cullin detto "Pocken" dagli amici è nato nel 1979 a Bromölla una cittadina lacustre circa 100 Km. ad Est di Lund e si è laureato in legge presso l'Università di Lund mantenendosi agli studi giocando a poker su internet la notte e suonando la chitarra in estate nei villaggi turistici.
Per Ola ha imparato a giocare a bridge a 15 anni grazie agli insegnamenti di un suo allievo di ping pong.
Pocken, che parla spagnolo, tedesco e inglese, vive a Stoccolma co Julya Nyberg e la loro figlioletta Alma e lavorava come giudice presso la Corte d'Appello quando d'accordo con la familgia ha deciso di diventare un professionista di bridge.
Ex capitano del team juniores svedese, ha colto il suo miglior risultato con il terzo posto nella Champion Cup del 2009.
Nel 2012 arriva la consacrazione con la vittoria dell'Olimpiade di Lille.
