Carlos  CABANNE

Carlos Cabanne Bengolea, nacque a Buenos Aires il 3 ottobre del 1917 ed è considerato il padre del bridge argentino ed è stato uno dei più significativi campioni sud americani.

 Odontoiatra di professione, sposato in prime nozze con Beatriz Morixe Gascón, si rese noto oltre che come fortissimo giocatore, come articolista, come scrittore e come dirigente federale.

 Sposato in seconde nozze con Lydia Nélida Crocella, socio vitalizio e Presidente Onorario della A.B.A., più volte Presidente della Federazione Argentina e di quella Sud Americana, nella sua lunghissima carriera di giocatore ha vinto oltre 40 titoli nazionali.

 Articolista di fama internazionale, ha fatto parto del Comitato di Revisione della Enciclopedia del Bridge, tra i suoi libri ricordiamo: "Cuentos de Bridge" e "Carteo de los Contratos".

 Fece parte della squadra Argentina che nel 1955, 1958 e 1965 conquistò la terza piazza nella Bermuda Bowl.

Ultima sua impresa è stata quella di aver lanciato sulla ribalta internazionale Agustin Madala con il quale ha formato una coppia che contava 70 anni di differenza tra i partner!

Si è spento nella sua Buenos Aires il 7 agosto del 2004.

Carlos Cabanne bengolea, was born in Buenos Aires in 1917 and is considered the father of Argentine Bridge and was one of the most significant South American champions.

Dentist by profession, married to Beatriz Morixe Gascón, became well known as a strong player, as a columnist, writer and director.

Life Member and Honorary President of the ABA, several times president of the Federation of Argentina and the South American in his long career as a player has won over 40 national titles.

Columnist of international renown, he was part of the Review Committee of the Encyclopaedia of Bridge, among his books are: "Cuentos de Bridge" and "Carty de los contratos".

He was a member of the Argentine team that in 1955, 1958 and 1965 won third place in the Bermuda Bowl.

His last venture was to have launched on the international stage Agustin Madala, with whom he formed a couple who had 70 years of difference between partners!

He died in his Buenos Aires in 2004.
