Gianni Bertotto è nato a Torino nel 1945 ed è stato uno dei pilastri e per lungo tempo memoria storica della Federazione Italiana.
Tra le molte attività in cui si è distinto nei 50 anni dedicati al bridge, impagabile è stata la sua azione di promozione tra i giovani tanto che al momento della sua scomparsa era Segretario del Comitato WBF per i Kids.
Gianni per molti anni è stato anche Segretario della EBL, del Comitato Campionati della WBF, nonché, di diversi altri Comitati.
Aperto come pochi alle innovazioni ha sviluppato negli anni '90 assieme a Gianni Baldi il s/w federale che proprio in onore dei suoi artefici porta il nome G2B.
È scomparso improvvisamente il 28 agosto del 2020.
Gianni Bertotto was
