Michael Askgaard è nato il 30 luglio del 1975 e vive a Gentofte non lontano dalla capitale, con la compagna Susanne Hauch Kramhøft e con il loro figlioletto.
Ha fatto parte più volte delle nazionali danesi e nel 2001 ha vinto il bronzo nei Campionati Europei per Squadre Juniores seguito dall'oro nei Campionati Mondiali per Squadre Universitarie.
World International Master, ha vinto alcune competizione in campo nazionale e nel 2014 ha vinto il Campionato Tedesco a Squadre.
Michael, che è laureato in legge, è anche un buon giocatore di poker e in gioventù ha praticato con un certo successo il calcio.

near Copenhagen with his fiancé and them baby.
He was part of the Danish national several times and in 2001 he won the bronze in the European Junior's Teams Championships followed by gold in the World University Teams Championships.
World International Master, has won some competition in the national field, and in 2014 he won the German Teams Championships.
Michael, who is a law graduate, is also a good poker player, and in his youth he practiced with some success the football.
