Daniel Zagorin è nato il 4 giugno del 1972 a Skokie ed ha studiato alla Niles North High School e all'Università dello Iowa.

 Ha imparato il bridge dai suoi nonni che lo hanno indirizzato verso un sistema basato sul  Fiori Forte.

 Ha continuato a praticare il bridge mentre studiava presso l'Università dello Iowa e in quel periodo  vinse il titolo per il giovane dell'anno nel 1997.

 Ha poi abbandonato il Bridge agonistico per una decina d'anni nei quali ha lavorato come trader nel mercato delle materie prime.

 Sposato con Layne Shapiro, ha due figli vive a Chicago ed è tornato al Bridge nel 2008 con  tale successo da finire in nazionale e conquistare la medaglia d'argento nella Bermuda Bowl del 2011.

 Ama tutti i giochi basati sulla strategia, ascoltare musica, mangiare bene e passare il tempo libero con la sua famiglia.

  Daniel Zagorin was born in 1972 in Skokie and today he lives in Chicago.

 Dan grew up in Chicago area where he learned bridge from his grandparents who taught him a strong club system and strong two-bids.

 He continued to play at the University of Iowa and was an active junior bridge player, winning the WBF Youth Award in 1997.

Dan took about a 10-year hiatus from serious bridge to trade commodities. He returned to the game in 2008 and catapulted to the top 3 years later winning  the silver medal in Bermuda Bowl.

Dan, married with Layne Shapiro and proud father of 2 young boys, in his spare time he also enjoys strategic games, working out, a good beer, great food, live music, and spending time with his family.
