Kees  TAMMENS

 

 Kees Tammens è nato il 25 giugno del 1950 ad Almelo nel cuore dell'Olanda, ha studiato presso lo Stanislas College Westplantsoen di Delft e presso l'Università di Amsterdam dove si è laureato nel 1974.

 Ha iniziato a giocare a bridge quando aveva 17 anni e per oltre trenta anni è stato un giocatore professionista di Rubber.

 All'età di 36 anni è passato al bridge agonistico collezionando 11 titoli nazionali e un paio d'anni più tardi ha iniziato a far parte della Nazionale olandese.

 Sul piano internazionale ha conquistato sei medaglie ai Campionati del MEC: oro (1998), argento (1985 e 1991) e bronzo (1983) nel Coppie Open e due argenti nello Squadre Open (1987 e 1991).

 Inoltre ha conquistato il bronzo nel 1992 e l'oro nel 1994 ai Campionati Europei a Squadre Miste e a guidato come coach il team giovanile dei tulipani all'oro nel 2007 e all'argento nel 2000, nell'Europeo a Squadre Open e ancora all'oro nel Mondiale a Squadre nel  2011.

Come giornalista specializzato ha tenuto una rubrica settimanale sul Trouw per 10 anni a partire dal 1986 e, da allora a oggi, un'altra sul Volkskrant.

Kees ha anche scritto tre libri, purtroppo pubblicati solo  in olandese.

Infine, nel 1993 ha dato origine nella capitale del Brabante, 's-Hertogenbosch a quella manifestazione che oggi, con il nome di  White House Junior International, si svolge a Amsterdam.

Tammens Kees was born in 1950 in Almeloo in the heart  of Holland, he studied at the College Stanislas Westplantsoen of Delft and the University of Amsterdam where he graduated in 1974.

 He started playing bridge when he was 17 years and for over thirty years has been a professional player of Rubber.

At the age of 36 years has gone to the bridge, racing, collecting 11 national titles and a couple of years later he started to be part of the Dutch national.

On the international level has won six medals at the MEC Championships including  the gold (1998), silver (1985 and 1991) and bronze (1983) in Open Pairs and the silver in the Open Teams in 1987.

He also won the bronze medal in 1992 and gold in the 1994 at European Championships in Mixed Teams and as coach he guided the Open Team of youth tulips to gold in 2007 and to silver in 2000. Finally, he guided the Juniors Open Team of Netherland to gold world in 2011.

As a journalist specializing held a weekly column in Trouw for 10 years starting in 1986 and since then until today, another on the Volkskrant.

Kees has also written three books, unfortunately published only in Dutch.

Finally, in 1993 gave rise to the  's-Hertogenbosch the capital of Brabant, an event that today, as the White House Junior International, held in Amsterdam.
