Sofie Gręsholt Sjodal č nata il 12 aprile del 2002 a Nesoddtangen un villaggio turistico del comune di Nesodden sull'estrema punta della penisola che si affaccia nel fiordo di Oslo a soli 7 km. dalla capitale.
Sofie proviene da una famiglia di giocatori, i genitori ed il nonno sono giocatori attivi e, sembra proprio che i geni contino, perché la bella norvegese ha iniziato quando aveva solo 8 anni e a 14 ha colto il suo primo risultato vincendo il bronzo negli Europei Giovanili riservati alle ragazze in una squadra di cui era coach la mamma.
É stata la prima norvegese ha conseguire il master nazionale prima dei 13 anni!
La mamma Elisabeth, il papą Rolf ed il nonno Arne Larsen hanno giocato spesso in coppia con lei.
Nel 2018, Sofie ha vinto l'oro nei Campionati Giovanili Europei per Coppie Miste e in quelli per Coppie Femminili.

Gręsholt Sjodal was born on 12 April 2002 in
Nesoddtangen, a tourist village in the municipality
of Nesodden on the extreme tip of the peninsula
overlooking the Oslo fjord, just 7 km away from the
capital.
Sofie comes from a family of players, parents and grandfather are active players and, it seems that the genes count, because the beautiful Norwegian started when she was only 8 years old and at 14 took her first result winning the bronze in the European Youth reserved for girls in a team whose mother was coach.
She was the first Norwegian to get a national master's degree before the age of 13!
Mom Elisabeth, father Rolf and grandfather Arne Larsen have often played with her.
In 2018, Sofie won gold in the European Youth Championships for Mixed Pairs and Girls Pairs.
