Albert Rose nacque a East Bourne nel 1908 e fu uno dei giocatori inglesi più rappresentativi a metà dello scorso secolo.
Fece parte della Nazionale Britannica con la quale conquistò l'oro agli Europei del 1961 ed il bronzo nella Bermuda Bowl del 1962.
In ambito nazionale vinse 7 volte la Golden Cup (1938, 1951, 1953, 1954, 1958, 1961, 1963 e 1965), 3 volte la Crockford (1954, 1956 e 1957) ed il Foursome del 1964.
Morì improvvisamente nell'aprile del 1970 mezz'ora dopo aver disputato il suo suo torneo.
Albert Rose was born in East Bourne in
1908 and was one of the most representative English players in
the middle of the last century.
He was part of the British national team with which he won gold at the 1961 European Championships and bronze in the 1962 Bermuda Bowl.
Nationally he won the Golden Cup 7 times (1938, 1951, 1953, 1954, 1958, 1961, 1963 and 1965), the Crockford 3 times (1954, 1956 and 1957) and the 1964 Foursome.
He died suddenly in April 1970 half an hour after playing his tournament..
