Jordanis PAVLIDES

 Jordanis T. Pavlides nacque ad Atene nel 1903 e visse in Francia e Germania prima di sistemarsi definitivamente a Londra all'età di 32 anni.

 Dopo aver vinto il Campionato a Coppie Britannico del 1948 e la Gold Cup dell'anno successivo, Jordanis divenne cittadino britannico nel 1951 e poté così entrare a far parte della formidabile nazionale Nazionale inglese del dopoguerra con la quale vinse i Campionati Europei del 1954 e la Bermuda Bowl del 1955.

 Sposato con Michele, fu per lunghi anni e fine alla sua morte, direttore della Sede londinese della Greek Shipping Company .

 Morì a Londra il 26 febbraio del 1985.

  Jordanis T. Pavlides (1903 – 1985) was a British contract bridge player who won the British Bridge League Master Pairs in 1948, the Gold Cup in 1949, the European championship in 1954, and the Bermuda Bowl in 1955. 

He also represented Britain in the European championships of 1955. 

Pavlides was the sixth member of a winning team whose other members were Terence Reese , Boris Schapiro , Kenneth Konstam , Leslie Dodds and Adam Meredith .

He was born in Athens , lived for a while in France and Germany , before settling in London in 1935. 

He became a British subject in 1951.

He worked for many years until his death as the London Director of a Greek Shipping Company.
