Micke Melander è nato il 17 agosto 1967 a Sundsvall una cittadina dell'ovest centrale affacciata su un fiordo del golfo di Botnia fronteggiante l'isola di Alnon.
Dopo aver frequentato la scuola Vastermalms della sua città si è trasferito a Falkenberg nel sud della Svezia.
Micke lavota presso la Federazione Svedese ed ha ricoperto un gran numero di cariche amministrative in seno alla EBL, tanto da meritarsi la medaglia d'argento nel 2004 e quella d'oro nel 2010.
Buon giocatore, ha guidato le nazionali svedesi nel 1997 in qualità di allenatore ed è anche un affermato scrittore di bridge.
Micke Melander was born on August 17, 1967 in Sundsvall, a
central west town overlooking a fjord of the Gulf of Botnia facing the island of
Alnon.
After attending Vastermalms' school in his city he moved to Falkenberg in southern Sweden.
Micke worked in the Swedish Federation and held a large number of administrative posts within the EBL, earning him the silver medal in 2004 and the gold in 2010.
A good player, he led the Swedishs national teams in 1997 as a coach and is a well-known bridge writer.
