Emilio Lèbre La Rovere è nato a Rio de Janeiro il 19 maggio del 1954 e si è laureato in Ingegneria Elettrica all'Università Cattolica di Rio e in Economia all'Università Federale di Rio. Alla stessa Università ha anche conseguito un master in Ingegneria Sistemistica, mentre, all'Università di Parigi ha conseguito un Ph.D. in Economia.
Professore Universitario e Consulente, parla correttamente, oltre alla madre lingua portoghese, Francese, Inglese, Italiano e Spagnolo. Sposato ha avuto tre figli.
Giocatore di livello nazionale, ha conosciuto il bridge per merito del padre quando aveva 11 anni e se ne è appassionato dedicandogli buona parte del tempo che la professione gli lascia libero.
Emilio Lèbre La Rovere was born in Rio de Janeiro May 19, 1954 and graduated
