Margaret Jane Knottenbelt è nata nell'ottobre del 1966 a Londra ed ha imparato a giocare a bridge dai suoi genitori quando studiava fisica a Oxford.

 Consulente aziendale, mentre cresceva i suoi due figli ha conseguito l'abilitazione come psicoterapeuta ed ha lavorato al St. Thomas Hospital ed ha giocato molto poco.

 Poi nel pre-covid ha incontrato Andrew Robson e la scintilla si è riaccesa ha ricominciato a giocare intensamente e molto presto è arrivata in nazionale.

 Nel 2022 ha vinto l'argento nel Coppie Miste dei World Series,  nel 2023 ha conquistato un bronzo ai Campionati Mondiali nel Transnational Teams, nel  2024 ha vinto l'Hubert Phillis, nel 2026 ha vinto gli European Winter Mixed Teams.

Margaret Jane Knottenbelt was born in October 1966 in London and learned to play bridge from her parents while studying physics at Oxford.

A business consultant, while raising her two children, she qualified as a psychotherapist and worked at St. Thomas Hospital, playing very little.

Then, pre-COVID, she met Andrew Robson, and the spark was rekindled. She began playing intensely again and soon reached the national team.

In 2022, she won silver in the Mixed Pairs World Series, in 2023 she won bronze at the World Championships in the Transnational Teams, in 2024 she won the Hubert Phillis, and in 2026 she won the European Winter Mixed Teams.
